Happy Fathers' Day

It was a busy Sun for us. We went to church and brought Jon to Sunday School for the second time. Then we had dimsum lunch with the family to celebrate Fathers' Day. Pop by a showhouse for some design ideas, went back for an afternoon nap before going out for Jap dinner.
At Sunday School, Jon stood with Simon or at a corner as an observer. At times, he would go near the other kids to see what they were doing.
SS teacher Lay Geok would call out to Jonathan each time he came near, but dared not join the group. As she taught the class about creation and focused on Light and Animals, she noticed that Jon liked the torchlight. She called him over and even got him to sit on her lap. As she taught about the difference between light created by God and man, she let each kid switch on and off the torchlight.
Jon was the first to do so. But he liked the light and wasn't intending to switch it off. The older kids thought he didn't know how to and wanted to show him. By Lay Geok was so patient and even got the class to let Jon take his time in switching it off!
SS teacher Lay Geok is such a patient teacher, managing 10+ kids all with different characters, keeping order with a stern (but never angry) voice. Whether any of the toddlers stray away from the group, or go to the toy box when they were not supposed to, or two want the same toy, she would notice and managed the situation without breaking the momentum of teaching the others!

But Jon had no trouble at all when it came to snack time. He came readily when his name was called and even went back for seconds!

Soon it was off to Grand Palace Hotel for dimsum lunch with the family. Here he was with Simon and grandfather.
And one with great grandparents. GGma didn't dare to carry Jon coz sometimes he would struggle to break free and run off and she was afraid that she cannot hold on to him and he may fall.
Then we went to check out a showhouse before going back home for an afternoon nap...all too tired.

We then decided not to cook dinner but went out again for Jap dinner. I called the restaurant so many times to book the private room but no one answered. Thankfully Stanley was nearby and went personally to book a room. The restaurant didn't have any baby chairs (all spoilt) and we had cousin baby Mabel with us. Good to have a room so Jon can walk around and Mabel can lay down for a while if MIL was tired or needed to eat.

We had to stop Jon from touching the plates and breakables until Simon said that we should teach him and let him handle them under supervision. It was no joke trying to stop Jon from running around with a pair of chopsticks in his mouth or even a toothpick!
A shot of the grandchildren with the grandparents. Jon was never still in any of the photos!
Managed to have one of three of us, although a bit blur. Happy Fathers' Day, Simon!
