Happy Mothers' Day

You're my mommy, my only mommy
You make me happy when skies are grey
You never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my mommy away

The Sunday School kids sang this for mommies this morning. The church had a practice of celebrating Parents' Day on Mothers' Day. So the kids sang the same song to the daddies, of course replacing the word "mommy" with "daddy". The toddlers' class had to dress up, the boys as daddies and the girls as mommies.
Simon told me that Jon's supposed to dress like his daddy...this is different from what the teacher wanted - to dress up IN daddy's clothes. Luckily the teachers brought extra clothes. So, Jon ended up like this.
I motioned to Jon to try to get his attention so I could take a photo. He thought I asked him to come over. That's why he's standing in front, and blocking dear sweet Carol. He looks cute, especially with the silly hair cut. But I think he'll look cuter when his hair grows a little more.
See Joshua in a suit and wig. Can you guess what his daddy works as?

Jon liked what he was wearing so much that he didn't allow me to take off the tie and shirt. We had to wait till Teacher Mary came over. Otherwise, he would have been happy wearing the "daddy" shirt the whole day!

We went out for lunch at Citrus. Jillian was asleep in her baby chair coz she woke up early around 6am.
Jon ate Simon's marshmallow that came with his hot chocolate drink. Looks like Jon's learning to appreciate the sweet stuff. He just started eating lollipops in Mar, chewy sweets last week, and now marshmallow. Hope Jon doesn't develop a sweet tooth!

Wishing all mommies a Happy Mothers' Day.
